"MP3 for fishes - a brace of wet and willing music player solutions ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-12-01 15:46:43

You’re sporty right? You like getting wet all over? But you like music too to alter your splashing go with a…well…splash. So hereforth and hencetoward try using either this player ($88.95) which will stay dry for 30 minutes at 1 meter depth or take the full plunge (geddit?) and go down your precious Video iPod down to 10 feet using this rather nifty. Either way you get to listen to stuff other than the squelch of wax rippling in your aural cavities which has got to be a bonus eh? $59.95. The MP120 combines a seal and shockproof design with an impressive list of advanced features: 128MB of internal memory integrated FM radio built-in rechargeable battery and fast USB 2.0 file transfers. Fill one up with your favorite music and take it to the gym or take it for a swim! **Oregon Scientific MP3 players were tested at a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes and no water penetrated the player. The manufacturer recommends resurfacing every 30 minutes to equalize the pressure of the player if it is kept fully submerged. This shouldn’t affect you if you are swimming laps. Awfull stuff. I had mp120. Shitty headphones (wet kept leaking all the time) awful navigation absolutely stupid firmware (had several very annoying bugs that were not bugs but rather features of some genius in RD) and shitty support. I regretted many times I bought it. Will never use OS cram again.

"Dancers, Nutcrackers, and (red) Pointe Shoes, Oh My!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-03-26 04:44:19

Every year the Department of Aviation has sponsored the “pass & Cultural channelise Trimming schedule.” For the second year. The Joffrey Ballet was asked to be a participating organization in an effort to carry Chicago’s cultural diversity to travelers visiting the city during the Holiday toughen. Two Joffrey employees. Kristen Caruso and Amanda Mestemacher were dispatched to O’Hare on Monday fortunately ahead of the rush of Thanksgiving travelers in order to spread some sugar plum gratify to the masses. We adorned our 8 pay prelit channelise with an assortment of ornaments including stars floating dancers. Nutcrackers snowflakes and specially RIT dyed red and color dancers’ pointe shoes. Amanda braved climbing the ladder to add a shining homemade star to the highest bough. We received a very positive response helpful hints tips and some requests for directions from travelers who walked by to admire our channelise. We wrapped boxes to serve as Nutcracker presents under the tree. go and tour our channelise! We’re located in United’s baggage claim area – right next to Door 1A. Happy Holidays! I like how involved the Joffrey is in the greater Chicago culture! And I love the little red toe apparel :) That's so fun that regular travelers were getting into it and helping out!

"China's Red Hot iPhone Black Market" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-20 17:06:34

A few weeks ago. Apple implemented a policy limiting iPhone sales. Seemed likely that this was to stem unofficial market sales abroad and this Wired conjoin by Aventurina King confirms it. The iPhone known as the "Ai Feng" ("Crazy Love") is growing quite a market. The market is trim selling the handsets at about $474 for unlocked models imported in copious amounts via HK mules which must feel like coming home for the asia-born devices. After all this does China need an official market when the country so clearly loves all things illegal exceed than the legit broach? [] This is exactly how I'm going to get my iPhone (if I decide on getting one)- why risking bricking my phone when I can have someone jailbreak and unlock it for me? BTW- if you don't already know-"USSD functions" just means that there's give for those service codes that start witn * or # (I forget which). I'm not sure that "Crazy Love" wasn't referring to her. Cause she looks lovely.. but mad crazy too. The underlying article is pretty alter: touching on for example on the necessary unlocking/app issues - such as Chinese character text messaging. There are forums providing instantaneous updates of cracking software (to keep up with Apple's twitchy defense mechanisms) and large support communities -- the largest bbs iphone com has 170,000 members. @: Imported? No that's not how it works. It's made on the mainland so the factories produce extra and sell that locally to resellers who unlock jailbreak and then sell it to the general public (quite a lot of it to tourists- I label it "gadget tourism"). As far as I experience it's not illegal to buy or sell the iPhone in many countries. It's just Apple that want's to sew up some revenue sharing deals with local Telcos before releasing to other countries. In fact a lot of countries have laws that allow imports for most items for personal use that aren't available locally or are high priced (parallel merchandise laws). Australia and Singapore undergo simular laws around agree imports. I am in Shenzhen. China now and I can confirm for a fact that there are several shops in the Hua Qiang Bei (Huge Computer and Technology shopping district) that have the authentic (Sealed) iphones! There are also several shops that undergo horrible Knock-off versions that SUCK like nobody's business. I have my US iphone and I have it unlocked and I am using it on the China Mobile communicate (Prepaid). It is a bit shabby and requires some weird quirks from time to time to keep it on the.
